This stunning little gold and diamond shamrock brooch is made from 15ct gold and three beautiful white bright sparkly diamonds, estimated H-I colour, SI2-P1 clarity, estimated 0.25ct of diamond in total. Total weight: 2.3 grams.
The shamrock (a three leaf clover) in Victorian Jewellery symbolised faith, hope and love and was widely used as an emblem of Irish national pride and heritage. It was also a popular motif for good fortune and prosperity.
The shamrock was also a common motif in sentimental jewellery, given as a token of affection, well wishes and faithfulness to a loved one.
The shamrock was also believed to bring good fortune, protection and positive karma to the wearer. So many lovely meanings for this beautiful little brooch!
