Wonderful Late 19th Century Gem-Set Butterfly Pendant/Brooch

This is a wonderful Late 19th Century gem-set brooch/pendant. Set with rose-cut diamonds. Gems include rubies, blue sapphires and split pearls. The brooch fittings are removable so you can wear as a brooch or a pendant.

Condition: Some minor surface scratches, surface abrasions and surface discolouration. The diamonds appear bright and well matched. The individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The cut and setting of the rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. The split pearls with typical surface blemishes and some nacre damage. The sapphires appear medium blue, well saturated with some very minor abrasions to facet edges and surface. The rubies appear medium pink to reddish-pink, well saturated with some minor abrasions to facet edges.
